Obituary for Kenneth W. Howland
Kenneth Wayne "Tiny" Howland, 50, of Altus, passed away Sunday morning, October 4, 2009, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Tiny, as he was known by his family and friends, was born August 12, 1959, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Robert William and Estlee (Jameson) Howland. He lived all over the United States while his father was in the U.S. Air Force and finally moved to Altus in 1973. He attended Navajo Public Schools and Altus High School before graduating from Navajo High School in 1979.
He married the love of his life, Sharon Robertson April 15, 1988, in Vernon, Texas. Tiny was in the transportation industry for many years. He was well known and liked by everyone in the Altus community. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Tiny enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh.
Preceded in death by his mother, Estlee Howland and several aunts and uncles, Tiny is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sharon Howland of the home in Altus; one daughter, Kayla Dennis and husband Ronnie Dennis, Jr. of Hobart, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Devin Howland, Aaliyah Dennis, Jazmyn Dennis, and a step-granddaughter, Kade" Hall, all of Hobart; his father, Robert Howland and wife Sue of Wylie, Texas; two brothers, Ronald Howland and wife Tressa of Oklahoma City and Randy Howland and wife Denise of Moore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jeri Rogers and husband John of Pekin, Illinois and Brenda Palmer, also of Pekin, Illinois; three uncles, Sam Jameson and wife Vickie of Brush, Colorado, Jimmy Jameson and wife Carol of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Bobby Jameson and wife Jean of Headrick, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus with Reverend Gregory A. Hawn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
