Obituary for June Kelley
June Kelley, age 71 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Monday, August 18, 1997 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 30, 1926 at Alfalfa, Oklahoma to the late Oscar and Virgie (Barbee) Kenedy. On January 27, 1943 she and Leon Kelley were united in marriage at Cordell, Oklahoma. In 1955 she began a career with the ASCS Office in Altus, retiring in 1985. She had also worked for over 9 years at the First National Bank of Altus. June was a member of First Baptist Church in Altus, and was very active in Leah Sunday School Class where she served as the treasurer. She was a Charter member of the ABWA Club.
Survivors include her husband Leon Kelley of the home in Altus, three children; Jerry Kelley and his wife Wanda of Beaumont, Texas, Larry Kelley and his wife Cathy of Sayre, Oklahoma, Donna Hans and her husband Rick of Omaha, Nebraska. Two brothers; Troy Noland and his wife Vydekk of Abilene, Texas, Don Noland and his wife Billie of Edmond, Oklahoma, one sister, Joy Troub and her husband Bill of Carnegie, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren; Shawn Kelley, brad Kelley, Chad Kelley, Jeremy Hans, Josh Hans, Jake Hans, Kelley Hans, Marisa Kelley, Chrystal Kelley, and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kenneth Kenedy, one grandson, Kevin Kelley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 1997 at 2:00pm in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
