Obituary for Julius Clifton Lowell Jr.
J. c. Lowell, Jr. age 60 of Altus died Sunday morning following a lengthy illness. Services have been scheduled for Thursday, April 17th at 2:00 p at thr Saints Paul's Episcopal Church officiated by Father Buddy Dugan. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

J.C. was born July 14, 1942 in Miami, Florida and was the son of J.C. and Clara Lowell. He attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science where he was graduated in August of 1964. He also held multiple degrees from Cameron University in both Criminology and History. He joined the family business, Lowell Funeral Home, in September 1967 and served as President of the company until his retirement.

He was called to active duty with the Army Special Forces during the Vietnam Conflict and was a graduate of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and the Army Ranger School. He went on to serve in Panama.

Survivors include; two daughters; Elizabeth Jacome and her husband Kenny of El Paso, Texas. Melissa Lowell of Lyons, Colorado, one son Julian Lowell of Altus. One sister; Emily Sue Lacy and her husband Leon of Blanchard, Oklahoma; one brother; Ron Lowell and his wife Ada of Altus. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Jacob and Isabella Jacome.

The Lowell family will receive their friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 7:30 pm.
