Obituary for Juanita Lucille Padgett
Juanita Lucille Padgett, age 57, passed away Thursday, May 30th, 1996, at her home in Blair, Oklahoma after a lengthy illness. She was born August 12, 1938 in Denison, Texas to William R. Rodgers and Hazel Jean (Shelton) Rogers . She married Melvin Padgett December 29, 1966 at Vernon, TX. After their marriage they made their home in Altus, Oklahoma, where she worked at many businesses in Altus. Later she was self-employed doing House Cleaning Services, until recently becoming Co-Owner of the Padgett Apartments in Blair, Oklahoma. Juanita was very active with the Altus Women's Bowling Association, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Community Theater.

Funeral Services have been scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Blair, with Father Peter Cominos officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: her husband, Melvin Padgett of the home; four children, Rita Caan and husband George of Olympia, WA, Jerry Marlow and wife Brook of Lexington, OK, Juanelle Howes-Avila and husband Bobby of Altus, Oklahoma and Stacy Combs and husband Darrel of Altus, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Dale Padgett and wife Rhonda of Hobart, OK and Rick Padgett and wife Tammi of Edmond, OK; 15 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mrs. L.A. Padgett of Blair, OK; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen and Chuck Paris of Altus, OK; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Bill Elkins of Midwest City, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Troy and Nancy Padgett of Petaluma, CA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents.
