Obituary for Juanita Elizabeth Brown
Juanita Elizabeth Brown, age 93, of Houston, Texas, passed away January 17, 2002. Funeral Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Margie Van Oostrum officiating. Interment will follow at the Martha Cemetery.
Juanita was born on February 5, 1908 in Jackson County, Oklahoma to parents Edgar and Wilhelmia Grimes Watts. She grew up in the area and was united in marriage to Thomas Brown on December 28, 1924 at Altus, Oklahoma. Juanita retired from Shamrock Oil of Amarillo in 1960. She was also active at the First Methodist Church of Huntsville, Texas.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, T.M. Brown in 1963 and daughter Betty Brown Ball. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Brown Ealey of Houston, Texas; sister, Bertha Ladd of Altus, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rebecca Shepard of Nacogdoches, Texas, Adele Morgan of Clearwater, Florida; one great-granddaughter, Rebekah Morgan and a host of other relatives and friends.
