Juan DeDois Valles, age 74, of Altus, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2013, at Plantation Village Nursing Center, in Altus.
Mr. Valles was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 30, 1938, to Ramon and Cruz (Holguin ) Valles. With most of his young life spent in Mexico, Juan came to Lamesa, Texas in 1967. Working as a farm hand, he spent time in Pecos, Texas and several other Texas farm communities doing farm work. In 1957, he married Maria Laura and she preceded him in death in 1995. In 2003, Juan moved to Altus, to be near his family.
Preceded in death by his parents; his wife; eight brothers and one sister, he is survived by two daughters, Graciela Valles of Altus and Elena Sandoval and husband Jesus of Altus; and her grandaughter Mireya Sandavol and one sister, Blasa Valles of El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren, Alex Monrrigo, Marvin Monrrigo, Jr., Kimberly Monrrigo and Ailyne Trejo; four great grandchildren, Esmeralda Trejo, Carlos Trejo, Jr., Issac Trejo and Ailyne Trejo along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Juan Valles will be at 2 p. m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
