Obituary for Joyce Lynn Powell
Joyce Lynn Powell, age 83, of Blair, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004 at English Village Manor in Altus. She was born December 15, 1920 in Fate, Texas to Benton Leon and Mary Jo (Chambers) Powell.
Joyce had lived in the Jackson County area since 1950 moving here from Levelland, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Altus.
She is survived by one sister, Virginia Sue St. Clair of Mountlake Terrace, Washington; two brothers, Jack Keith Powell and wife Joy of Clinton, Oklahoma and David Powell and wife Laverne of Blair, Oklahoma. She is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sandra Gail Powell.
Graveside service for Joyce Lynn Powell is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev Jim Brown officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
