Obituary for Joy Menges
Joy Menges, age 72, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2004 at English Village Manor. She was born March 21, 1931 to the late Harry and Edith (Howerton) Sorensen. Joy lived in Altus since 1969, moved from Eielson AFB, Alaska. In 1966 in Pismo Beach, California, Joy married F. E. Menges. He preceded her in death May of 1972.
Joy worked in Civil Service as a Production Analyst until her retirement in 1991.
She is survived by one son, Dana Madson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Carolyn Quayle and husband Allan of Altus, Oklahoma and Barbara Moyer and husband Pat of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Richard and Philip Moyer of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband F.E. Menges, one brother Allan Sorensen.
Memorial Services for Joy Menges will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
