Obituary for Joy Beth Bevan
Joy Beth Bevan, 79, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 in Altus. Services have been scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Charles Stewart and Rev. Micah Welcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Beth was born April 6, 1933 in Blair, Oklahoma to Jess and Olga (McElroy) Hueling. The family moved to San Angelo, Texas when Beth was in Elementary school and she graduated high school in San Angelo. She married Paul Bevan January 31, 1982 in Mangum, Oklahoma and they had 31 wonderful years together.
She was a devoted member of the Highland Heights Methodist Church. She was a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4876. She was very proud of her service to our Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Beth is survived by her husband Paul Bevan of the home; four children, Cindy Mackenzie of Tulsa, OK, Kenneth Bates and wife Audrey of Seminole, OK, Tim Killian and wife Angie of Mitchell, SD, and Max Killian and wife Cindy of Dallas, TX; one step-son, Tim Bevan of Liveoak, FL; one sister, Frances Marian Dixon of Midland, TX; many grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Lee Hueling; her mother, Olga McElroy Hueling Walker; step-father, Arnold Walker; and one brother, Max Hueling.
