Josephine Goodwin Ellis Josephine Ellis was born July 28, 1913 at Olustee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Lynford Arthur and Amy Josephine Goodwin. She died January 14, 2000 at her home in Altus. Josephine married Harry H. Ellis December 31, 1934, and he preceded her in death May 28, 1997.Josephine was a life long resident of Altus and Jackson County. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Altus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Ellis and by her parents. Survivors include: Son Harry Ellis Honolulu, Hawaii 2 Brothers Lynford Arthur Goodwin, Jr. Maryland Arthur Goodwin Altus Oklahoma 1 Sister Kathyrn Jordon Shawnee, Oklahoma 1 Grandson Joshua Ellis Redmond, Washington Services for Josephine Ellis are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Pate officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. Memorials in honor of Josephine Ellis may be made to the American Cancer Society.
