Obituary for John T. Hollaway
John T. Hollaway, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 1997.

John was born July 20, 1915 at Bryan County, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late John Tilton and Margarette (Tate) Hollaway. He came to the Blair area in 1927, where he attended Blair John Hollaway.

John and Lou Fern Rose were united in marriage on February 25, 1924, at Blair, Oklahoma. John served in the United States Navy form 1944-1945. After separation from the Navy, John made a career as an Electrical Contractor for Commercial Construction. His work took him through many counties of southwest Oklahoma.
Mr Hollaway was a member of the Electricians Local. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Blair where he taught the Junior Department and the Jeremiah Sunday School Class. He also belonged to the Baptist Men's Brotherhood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

John is survived by Lou Fern, his wife of 62 years; three children, John Harvey and Janace Hollaway of Salt Lake City, Ut., Ewell Lynn Hollaway of Tulsa, Ok. and Arela and Tommy Overton of Birmingham, Al; and by one sister, Mable Hull of Caddo, Ok. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchilden.
