John Francis Lackey age 61 of Headrick, Oklahoma died May 14, 1966 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. John was born August 31, 1904 in Blair, Oklahoma to W.T. and Sarah (Brooks) Lackey. He was a farmer in the Jackson county area all of his life. John married Dovie Boatman November 24, 1924. He worked for the ASC office for many years. John was a member of the Church of Christ. He had lived in Headrick since 1916.
Funeral services for John Francis Lackey are scheduled for 2:00pm at the Church of Christ in Headrick, Oklahoma, officiated by Rex Monroe and Joe Laird. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
John Francis Lackey is survived by his wife Dovie of the home in Headrick, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Calkins, Headrick, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Larry and Janice Calkins, Altus, Oklahoma; four sisters, Mrs. E.W. Ashley, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Chester Walker, Sacremento, California; Mrs. Bob Chastain, Wheeler, Arkansas; Mrs. Charley Rogers, Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Lee Lackey.
