John Benton Luttrell


John Benton Luttrell was born December 4, 1910. He died May 23, 1993 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Jess and Mattie Luttrell. He married Lorene McWhorter June 21, 1930 at Altus, Oklahoma. He worked for the First National Bank in Borger, Texas for many years, until he retired. He was a member of the Borger Lions Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Ken Pate officiating. Interment will be in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

John is survived by his wife Lorene Luttrell of Altus, Oklahoma; children Linda Mainer of Indianapolis, Indiana; Larry Luttrell of Lovington, Colorado; sisters, Vivian Warren of Houston, Texas; Clara Cooley of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Mark Mainer, Kim Burger, Gregg Luttrell and Todd Luttrell; two great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents.
