John Andrew Jackson age 81, of Altus, Oklahoma died July 11, 1967 at his home in Altus, Oklahoma. John was born February 10, 1886 in Floyd, Texas to Dan and Callie (Lightie) Jackson. He married Agnes Sparks September 16, 1915 in Celest, Texas. John was a retired barber who had lived in southwest Oklahoma since 1927. He was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Services for John Andrew Jackson are scheduled for Thursday, July 13, 1967at 10: am in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Wallace Gooch. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
John Andrew Jackson is survived by his wife, Agnes of the home in Altus; six sons, Elvin Jackson, Leonard, Texas; Bennie Jackson, Mangum, Oklahoma; Willard Jackson, Altus, Oklahoma; Gene Jackson, Altus, Oklahoma; Joe Jackson, Altus, Oklahoma; Rex Jackson, Everman, Texas; one daughter, Lou Ann Martinek, Long Island, New York; Selta Ooten, Denton, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Folley, Greenville, Texas; Ethel Bloodworth, Hereford, Texas.
