Obituary for Joan Carrigan Smith
Joan Carrigan Smith, age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 24th, 1989, morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 26, 1989 at the First Assembly of God Church, 1400 Falcon Road. Reverend Richard Ventonis will conduct the service assisted by Rev. Carl McCoy. Arrangements are with Lowell Funeral Home.

Born to Lenora and Jack Carrigan on May 10, 1912 in Frazer, KY. She married Leonard Smith on December 15, 1959 in Elk City, OK.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gene Autry, OK. Mrs. smith had attended First Assembly of God in Altus for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977; her parents; one sister; four brothers.

She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Whitehead Cantrell of Altus and Josephine Carrigan of Joliet, IL; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
