Obituary for Jimmy Paul Prince
On Saturday, August 15, 2020, Jim Prince, loving husband and father of three sons, went to be with the Lord at the age of 83.
Jim was born on July 28, 1937 in Roswell, New Mexico to Johnnie and Ruth Prince. After finishing high school, he went into the Navy Reserve from 1954-56. It was peace time yet he was privileged to serve his country while traveling the world, learning the discipline of the armed services.
On July 8, 1961, he married Phyllis Spradlin. They had the joy of raising three sons, Randy, Mike and Tim. Jim was a great craftsman taking great pride in his work while living by the motto of doing things right. He worked for the gas company in Roswell and took extra schooling to do gas air conditioning. He moved his family to Hollis, Oklahoma in 1977 where he started his new craft of being a Master Plumber and Contractor, which he took pride in doing for 41 years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob Sparks, Ferrell Sparks, Billy Prince, sisters Wyvonne Wilton, Betty Reding and daughter in law Robin Prince. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his sons, Randy, Mike and his wife Zan, Tim and his wife Nicole, granddaughters, Lyssa, Ashley, and Lynlee and her husband Jared Dill, and Grandson, Connor (who was born on Jim’s birthday).
A funeral service will be held Tuesday August 18,2020 at the First Baptist Church in Hollis, Oklahoma At 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hollis Museum.
Services have been entrusted to Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
