JIMMIE NELL PENA
Jimmie Nell Pena of Blair, Oklahoma (formerly of Oklahoma City) passed away on April 5, 2021, at 76 years of age. She was born to parents Ernest and Mona (Jarell) Farr on February 20, 1945, in Sentinal, Oklahoma.
Jimmie attended Blair public schools, graduated, and later moved to the Oklahoma City area. There she married her husband of 30 years, Deonicio G. Pena, Jr. in July of 1991. Jimmie worked in the medical field as an office manager and also served as a Special Deputy for Oklahoma County. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her gardens and flowerbeds, oil painting, hanging wallpaper, and reading books. Jimmie was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church and could often be found playing gospel music on the family’s front room piano.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mona Farr; brother, Don Farr; nephews, Troy and Jessie Farr; and brother-in-law, Rudy Pena Sr.
Jimmie leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Deonicio G. Pena, Jr; one son, Jerry Don Jackson and his wife, Rhonda; step-son, Deonicio Pena III and wife, Frina; sisters-in-law, Rosa Davis (Ronnie); Hope Rodriquez (Tony); Alice Munolz (Sal); grandchildren: Chelsea Aguero (Frank), Reed Jackson, Celia Pena, Carman Pena, Joaqin Palomino and Sophia Palomino. Three great-grandchildren: Levi Aguero; Kobe Aguero; Peyton Aguero. Other relatives include Tina Strickland (Joe) , Seth Farr (Grace), and Macy Farr. Jimmie will be missed by her family and by the many people who called her friend.
