Obituary for Jimmie Gail Crumpton
Jimmie Gail Crumpton, age 68, of Altus, Oklahoma, died from injuries sustained in a car accident on Friday, December 24, 2010, in Lubbock, Texas.
Jimmie was born March 24, 1942, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Ernest and Margrett (Crow) Crumpton. He married Betty Mowdy December 31, 1990, in The Colony, Texas. He was a Utility Contractor and was well-respected by his community as well as being well-known throughout southwest Oklahoma and north Texas for his many skills. Jimmie was a good friend and family man. All who knew him could count on him to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Crumpton and Margrett Crumpton Beach, one brother, Jerry Wayne Crumpton, one sister, Jackie Ernestine Davis, his first wife, Joyce (Cravens) Crumpton, an infant daughter, Alicia Joy Crumpton, and his great-granddaughter, Kylea Benivamondez, Jimmie is survived by his wife, Betty Crumpton, of Altus; two daughters, Tammy Gail Maldonado and Marinda Sharlene Crumpton, both of Altus; one brother, Richard Crumpton and wife Yvonne of Hobart; four grandchildren, Cody Adam Maldonado, Taylor Rhea-Ann Crumpton, Jessica DaNae Maldonado, and Roel Estraca, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Tesa Flemings and Ashlynn Maldonado; four nephews, three nieces, and numerous friends.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, at the Altus Centennial Memorial Center in the Altus City Cemetery. Another Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the Friendship Inn in Altus.
