Mrs. Jewel Marie Cox, age 71, 1105 Cherry, Altus, died August 19th, 1976 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Funeral services have been set for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 1976, at Tims Chapel with the Reverend Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy, Texas at the Abernathy Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Cox who died in 1956. They were married in 1923 in Petrolia, Texas.
She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Clyde and Scott Russell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. H.S. (Marie) Twyman of Springtown, Texas and Mrs. Bill (Sue) Metcalf of Oklahoma City; one grandson; three grandfathers; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, D. E. Barker of Graford, TX and Ralph Barker of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Lela Allison and Ina Walker, both of Lubbock, TX and Georgia Goeth of Graford, TX.
