Jessie Neal, age 90 passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at Grace Living Center in Altus, Oklahoma. She was born November 8, 1909 in Burkburnett, Texas to John Patterson Canada and Sarah Elizabeth (Hawkins) Canada. Jessie had lived in Altus since 1974 moving here from Davis, Oklahoma.

On June 2, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas she and Lloyd Franklin Neal were united in marriage. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Jessie had worked as a silk finisher in the dry cleaning business for several years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine brothers and sisters.

Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, October 8, 2000 at 2:00 pm at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. T. J. Willingham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice in memory of Jessie Neal.
