Jesse May McCutcheon, age 81, of Mangum, passed away late Sunday evening, February 12, 2012, at Grace Living Center, in Mangum
Mrs. McCutcheon was born on August 13, 1930, in Collingsworth County, Texas to Thomas M. and Francis (Wilcox) Underwood. After attending school at Dodson, Texas, she married Leslie McCutcheon on September 23, 1951. A homemaker all of her life, Jesse loved to make people laugh and wanted everyone to be happy. Her quick sense of humor, with a loving smile and kind heart endeared her to everyone.
Preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, one brother, James T. Underwood and one sister, Lucille King, she is survived by one daughter, Nelda Sue Wallace and husband Jimmy of Mangum; three grandchildren, many great grandchildren, two brothers, William (Bill) Underwood and Roy Underwood of Amarillo, five sisters, Mildred Barnett of California, Maudie Barefoot of Claredon, Texas, Nell Langford, Mary Miller and Georgia Simmons, all of Amarillo, Texas, along with many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Jesse McCutcheon will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Dodson, Texas Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
