Jess L. Morgan age 76, of Altus, Oklahoma died February 17, 1982, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Jess was born October 21, 1905 in Texas to Oscar and Bessie (Hopkins) Morgan. He married Ila Owen December 14, 1927. Jess was a member of Woodman of World, Odd Fellows and Good Sams Club. He had been a resident of Altus since 1939. He was a carpenter by trade.
Funeral services for Jess L. Morgan are scheduled for February 19l, 1982 at 2 pm in the First Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Melvin Moody and Thurman Hitchcock. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Jess L. Morgan is survived by his wife Ila of the home in Altus; son Harold L. Morgan, San Diego, California; Mary Lee Frank, San Diego, California; Dorotha Nell Mills Owaso, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother Roy Morgan, Ft. Worth, Texas; Tommy Morgan Garland, Texas; sisters, Loretta White, Bonham, Texas; Pansy Juke, Sherman, Texas.
