Obituary for Jean Marvin Cotton
Jean Marvin Cotton, a lifetime resident and well known businessman of Eldorado, died early Sunday morning at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 5th at the First Baptist Church of Eldorado with the Reverend Don Ladner and the Reverend C. C. Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born November 1st, 1912, in Eldorado, he was married to Flavel Sherwood April 7, 1948 in Quanah, Texas. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, of the home; a daughter, Thelma Gunkel of Eldorado; two sons, Marvin Cotton, Jr., of Eldorado and Gary Dale Sherwood of Quanah, TX; his Mother, Florence Cotton of Eldorado; one sister, Dorothy Joe Allen of Granite; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: a son, Farrell Sherwood; a daughter, Vivian Joyce Cotton.
