Janice Geer, age 80, of Mangum, passed away late Tuesday evening, March 13, 2012, at her residence, in Mangum.

Janice Marie Miller was born on September 23, 1932, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Edwin and Iva Leota (Washburn) Miller. Janice had a wonderful childhood growing up on Petti Bone Island, on the banks of the Mississippi River. Her family later moved to Chickasha where she attended high school. There she met and married Malcom Thoma and was blessed with her son Gary Dale. She later married Gilbert Geer and they had one daughter, Darla Lynn. Gil worked construction and through the years they lived in Oklahoma, California, New Mexico and Colorado. After retiring, they lived in Marlow, Oklahoma for several years. When Gil died, Janice moved to Mangum to be near her daughter. She devoted her life and love to her family and all who entered her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, four brothers, Gordon, Donnie, Eddie and Billie and one sister, Beverly, she is survived by her daughter Darla Allmon of Mangum; one son, Gary Dale Thoma of Chickasha; five grandchildren, Derrick, Brandon, Lana, Ryan and Ja Nessa plus several of their friends that called her "Granny", whom she loved equally; eight great grandchildren plus two beautiful extras along with many other relatives and friends.
