Obituary for James William Brawley
Mr. James William Brawley, age 84, long time resident of the Eldorado community, died at approximately 1:30 P.M. yesterday afternoon, the result of injuries received due to an automobile accident occurring one mile west and three miles south of Eldorado.
Funeral services have been set for 3:00 P.M., tomorrow at the Eldorado Church of Christ, officiated by Mark Legg. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born March 3rd, 1895, he was married in 1965 to Ollie Dyer, who survives of the home. He was a farmer-rancher, a Veteran of WWI and a member of the Eldorado Church of Christ.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Joe Lynn Brawley of Borger, TX, Donny Rae Brawley of Alexandria, LA and George W. Brawley of Byers, CO; two step-sons, Billy McLaughlin of Farmington, NM and H.C. McLaughlin; one step-daughter, Mrs. Walter Gregory; two brothers, Houston Brawley and Parker Brawley of Duke, OK; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Murphy of Hollis, Mrs. Betty Bishop of Mangum, Mrs. Lea Hedrick of Albuquerque, NM and Mrs. Ivy Fox of Borger, TX; nine grandchildren.
Mr. Brawley will lie in state at Lowell-Richardson Memorial Chapel in Eldorado.
