Mr. James Morton Mahan, age 86, of Durant, OK, died on Friday, May 10th, 1968, in Durant, Oklahoma after an extended illness.
Services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 1968, at the First Baptist Church in Hess, OK. Reverend Eddie Overstreet will officiate. Burial will be in Hess Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Survivors include: two sons, Mr. D. T. Mahan of Calera, OK and Mr. Oliver Mahan of Hobart, OK; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Morrow of Albertsville, Alabama, Mrs. Maude Snow of Arab, AL, Mrs. Markus Wright of Elk City, OK and Mrs. Anne Bell Mahan of Arab, AL; four grandchildren; two half-sisters; one half-brother.
Born on March 22nd, 1882 in Albertsville, AL, he was married to Lillie Kirby in 1909, she preceded him in death in 1951.
