James Lynn Johnson
James Lynn Johnson, age 58, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, January 22nd, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, following a lengthy illness. Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday January 25, 2000, at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton and Rev. Eugene Foreman officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Lynn was born April 19, 1941, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and the late Inerd (Clifton) Johnson. He lived his formative years in Humphreys Oklahoma and graduated from Southside High School in 1959. He was a Little League coach and umpire for many years. Three children were born of a unity to Donnie (Fowler) Johnson Brinkman. He spent his career as a electrical contractor and foreman with QEC Electric and Dane Electric in Oklahoma City, with Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus , and as a sole proprietor. Lynn's Hobbies included playing with his grandchildren and attending their various functions and fishing and hunting with great friends. He is known for expressing sentiments in cards to those loved and a great sense of humor. He has been a member of various Baptist Churches. He is a devoted friend and a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, and mate.
Survivors include his father, Lloyd Johnson of Altus; three children, Cassie Farr and husband Troy of Blair, Britt Johnson and wife Susy of Edmond, OK, and Chad Johnson and wife Kelli of Wilson, OK; one brother, Mike Johnson and wife Brenda of Livermore, CA; his grandmother, Myrtle Johnson of Altus; six grandchildren, Seth Farr, Jesse Farr, Macy Farr, Austin Johnson, Nathan Johnson, and Arron Johnson; a loving and devoted companion, Lourdes Sanders of Oklahoma City: a host of other fiends, including a special friend, Benita Bercegeay.
Lynn was preceded in death by his mother, Inerd Johnson and his grandfather, C. E. Johnson.
The family will have visitation Monday evening from 6;00 to 8:00 pm at Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
