James Earl Busby passed away Sunday, April 5th, 1998 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was born January 15th, 1940 in Altus, Oklahoma to William T. Busby and Pauline (Heablem) Woolum. On March 26, 1992, in Vernon, Texas, he and Sharon Duke were united in marriage. James worked for many years as a cab driver at the Altus Cab Company.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. in the Martha Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife Sharon of the home in Altus; his parents, William T. Busby and Pauline Woolum of Altus, Oklahoma; three children, Geneva Robinson and her husband Sean of Altus, Oklahoma, Johnny Kaye Busby of Korea, Jimmy Lynn Busby of Texas; three stepsons, Danny Guynn and his wife Nancy, Johnny Guynn and his wife Rachelle, and Victor Garza and his wife April, all of Altus, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
He is preceded in death by one uncle, Melvin A. Busby and one aunt, Velma Busby.
