Obituary for James E. Clancy
James E. Clancy age 67 of Olustee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, June 30, 1997 at the Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, after a brief illness. James was born May 15, 1930 at Olustee, Oklahoma to the late James W. and Margaret (Osborne) Clancy. He attended Altus Schools and graduated in 1948. He worked for Phillips Petroleum in 1948. An August 6, 1948 he and Betty Sue Walker were united in marriage at Vernon, Texas. In November 1950 he began a career with Northern Natural Gas Company, retiring with 35 years of service. He was a 33rd Mason, and a longtime member of the Shriners. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 1997 at 10 am at the Eldorado Methodist Church with Rev. Don Harrell and Rev. Elbert Shumaker officiating. He will lie in state at eh Lowell-tims Chapel at Eldorado form Wednesday at 11:00am until service time on Thursday. burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family has ask that memorials be made to the Eldorado 1st United Methodist Church.

Survivors include spouse Betty Clancy of the home, children, Eddie Clancy and wife Peggy of Spring, Texas, Rhonda Grisham of Ft. Collins, Colorado; two grandchildren, Susan Clancy of Midland, Texas, Justin Clancy of Spring, Texas.

He was preceded in death by parents, and grandparents.
