James Austin Holland was born July 4, 1936 in Mangum, OK. He died November 15th, 1990 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Central Junior High in 1958 as a Teacher and Coach. He was instrumental in starting the Junior High Golk Program in Altus Public Schools. He married Linda Carter on August 4, 1961 at Altus, OK. He had resided in this community since 1958. He was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include: his wife Linda of the home; a son, Jay Holland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Jerry Kelly of Norman, OK; his Mother, Monette Holland of Altus, OK.
