J. Maud Pinson
Former Olustee and Altus Resident, J. Maud Pinson age 94, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was born September 23, 1902, in Lano, Texas, the daughter of the late Charles and Lula "Clowdus" Prestridge. She was a longtime resident of Jackson County. Mrs. Pinson passed away Tuesday, January 28, 1997, in a Edmond Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 31, 1997, in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sony Tims officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
On February 7, 1919, she and C. J. Pinson were united in marriage at Anna, Texas. Mr. Pinson preceded her in death, December 20, 1971. Mrs. Pinson was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Highland Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Maud was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, C. J. Pinson on December 20, 1971, one son; Loye and one daughter, Irene; five sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by three children; Bill Pinson and wife Mary of Edmond, Oklahoma, Jean Smith of Merritt Island, Florida and Betty Gaskin and husband Ron of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers; Earl Prestridge of Altus, Oklahoma and John Prestridge of Salt Lake City, Utah; nine grandchildren and a host of Great and Great-Great-Grandchildren.
