Irene Jones Everett, 64, passed away Wednesday, June 21, a995 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Irene was born May 9, 1931 in Liverpool, England, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Moffit) Liverpool.
On June 28, 1952, she married Bennie R. Everett at Liverpool, England. They moved from Liverpool to Altus in 1970.
Irene was a devoted member of the Southside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also served her church as custodian for a long time. Irene's greatest loves in life were her family her church and reading.
Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doris Lloyd; and her son, Bennie Everett Jr. on November 17, 1994.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Benice L. and Mike Moore of Sanday, Or.; one brother and sister-in-law,, Alan and Irene Jones of Wales, United Kingdom; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Ronnie Yates of Spain; one daughter-in-law, Katrina Everett of Altus; four grandchildren, Shian, Joshua, and Jarod Moore and Christian Everett; and one great-grandchild, Everett Kalhon.
