Obituary for Henry Clay Polk Chapman
Funeral services for Henry C. P. Chapman, age 90, were held at 11 A.M. Friday at First Baptist Church, Eldorado, with Lowell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Rev. Walter Knox, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Eldorado, officiated. Burial was in Eldorado Cemetery.
Mr. Chapman died Tuesday at Guthrie, OK. He was born August 23rd, 1877 at Sunset, Texas. He had lived in the Eldorado area for 61 years, moving there from Colgate, OK. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. Mr. Chapman never married.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Masonic lodges. He served as secretary of the Odd Fellows lodge at Eldorado for 18 years.
Survivors include: three nieces, Mrs. Rose Vails and Mrs. Alma Haskell, both of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Mildred Harris of Skellytown, TX; five nephews, Henry Chapman of Ft. Worth, William Chapman of Hazel, TX, James T. Chapman of Jacksboro, TX, Willis S. Harris of Skellytown, TX and Earl Reeves of Bakersfield, CA.
