Henry Claude Boyd age 85 of Olustee, Oklahoma passed away December 26, 1966 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. He was born August 7, 1881 in Texas to Mr. Lafayette Boyd. Mr. Boyd had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since statehood. He married Nellie Mae Edens December 26 1921 in Olustee, Oklahoma. Henry Boyd was a retired farmer and blacksmith and a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Henry Claude Boyd are scheduled for December 28, 1966 in the Olustee Church of Christ at 10:00am officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Henry Claude Boyd is survived by his wife Nellie of the home in Olustee, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Glenn of Idaho Springs, Colorado; two sons, Floyd Boyd, Santa Maria, California; Homer Boyd, Clovis, California; one step-daughter Mrs. Edith Clowdus, Olustee, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Dubert Laird, Cypress, California; Herbert Laird, Olustee, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs Tilley Hutton, Frederick, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by three sons, Ernest Boyd, Jimmy Boyd, and Robert Boyd.
