Obituary for Harvel Kenmore
Harvel Kenmore passed away Monday, April 24, 1995 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 2:30 pm Tuesday, at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. bill Hathway officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Kenmore was born September 1, 1908 in Duke, Oklahoma to Leslie and Elizabeth Phillips Kenmore. He married Effie Black on December 25, 1926 in Altus, Oklahoma. Harvel was a farmer, rancher, horseman and horse trainer his entire life. He was a native of Jackson County and a member of the of the Grace United Methodist Church in Altus.
Survivors include wife Effie Black Kenmore of the home; children, Billy H. Kenmore and Weasline of Altus, Oklahoma; Loretta Killian and husband, Derrill of Altus, Oklahoma; brother Johnnie Kenmore; sisters, Willie Ratliff of Ft. Worth, Texas; Tressie Vossler of Altus, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; Billy Wayne and Le Ann Kenmore, Judy and Zack Morgan, Tonya and Fred Worbes; great-grandchildren, Cole Morgan, Ty Kenmore, Shawn Kenmore, Haylee Kenmore, Josey Kenmore, also survived by Carolyn Allen, mother of Ty and Shawn Kenmore; a nephew raised by Mr. and Mrs. Kenmore, Coy James Warren of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many special friends and loved ones.
Preceded in death by; parents, Leslie and Elizabeth Kenmore, one brother, LeRoy Kenmore.
