Guy Haney Briscoe, 72, of Austin, Texas died November 2, 1993. He was born in Hess, Oklahoma in 1922 to Daniel Jefferson and Mary Virginia Briscoe. He graduated from South Side High School and Altus Junior College.
He married Bernece Williams in 1941 and together they had four children. Guy Briscoe's entrepreneurual spirit was reflected in his varied vocations.
Coach, farming, ranching, conservation contracting and the production of oil and gas.
Services are scheduled for 11 am Thursday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Foreman officiating. Interment will be in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Memorial to the American Heart Association may be made in honor of Guy H. Briscoe.
Survivors include his wife Elsie Bernice Williams of Austin, Texas; children, Barry Briscoe and Joyce of Kingwood, Texas; Guyann Wood and Douglas of Belton, Texas; Rhonda Bolt and Leroy of Abilene, Texas; bobby Briscoe and Debi of Norman, Oklahoma; two sisters, Neomia McAskill of Altus and Thressia Easley of Hess, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Preceded in death by parents, Daniel Jefferson and Mary Virginia Briscoe, brother Danny Isaac Briscoe, sister Nettye Bell Downing.
