Gordon Lee Tabb
Gordon Lee Tabb, age 76 of Lawton and formerly of Altus, passed away on Sunday evening, July 30. 2006 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Mr. Tabb was born on August 12, 1929 at Porter, south of Altus, to Ivan Ernest and Annie Cox Tabb and graduated from Humphrey High School. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Tabb served his country during the Korean War and was awarded the Soldiers Medal, the Army Occupation Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. In 1963, he married Gladys Prestage, in Lawton, and to this union, one daughter was born. Gordon later moved his family to Borger, Texas where he worked as a equipment service technician, repairing musical and entertainment equipment. In 1970, he took early retirement due to his declining health.
Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, he is survived by one daughter, Diana Goold and husband Bill of Edgewood, New Mexico; one stepson, Larry Riley and wife Darla of Lawton; one sister, Leta Wynoma Blankenship of Eufaula, Oklahoma and one brother, Ivan Doyle Tabb along with many other relatives and friends.
