Obituary for Glenda Jane Krider
Glenda Jane Krider passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon, Texas at 1:00 pm under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. There will be a visitation for family and friends, Friday, March 8, from 6:30 until 7:30 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Glenda was born on October 22, 1937, to Ernest L. and Johnnie M. Seawright in Harold, Texas and moved as an infant and grew up on a farm in the White City Community north of Vernon. She graduated from Northside High School in 1956.
She married Bob Roberts in 1955 and moved to Vernon, Texas. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 13 years and employed for 5 years at Wilbarger General Hospital. She taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Vernon when her children were growing up. She divorced in 1974 and moved to Altus in 1975. She was employed at Western Oklahoma State College for several years. She married Stephen J. Krider Sr. in 1990. She and her husband owned and operated Steves Electronics in Altus for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Altus.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Steve of the home; one son, Kevin and wife Debbie Roberts of Granbury, Tx; a daughter, Kim and husband Kenny Brakebill of Blair, Ok; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea and Will Roberts of Granbury, Tx, Jacob and Bobby Brakebill of Altus, Ok and Trisha Sanders of Mustang, Ok. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; one sister, Laverne Rawles, Borger, Texas; 5 step-children; 14 step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
