Obituary for Gladys Lucinda Johnson
Gladys Lucinda Johnson, age 85, formerly of Victory, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 3rd, 2002, in Fairfield, California.

She was born March 22, 1916, in Vandervoort, Arkansas, to John Benjamin Merchant and Pearlie Mae Olinger.

She attended school at Victory and graduated from there as well. She married Jim Henderson on November 16, 1943, in California. They lived in California for several years. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1961. In December of 1984, she married Frankie Johnson and he preceded her in death in September of 1985. She returned to California in 1990 to be near her daughter and family. She owned many cafes throughout the United States and worked at many ladies' apparel stores. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Her greatest accomplishment throughout her life was her ability to care for her family and be there when they needed her.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Liebendorfer and her husband Randy of Travis AFB, CA and Cindy Watson and her husband David of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a step-son, Jim Henderson of Islip, New York; one sister, Maye Johanson and her husband Alf, or Florida; five grandchildren, Scott Cowley, Meredith Rice-Bishop, Tiffany Sage, Brandy Liebendorfer and Brandon Wilson; one great-granddaughter, Hailey Wilson; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a brother and three sisters.
