Obituary for Georgia Mae Stoneberger
Mrs. Georgia Mae Stoneberger, age 94, died Wednesday morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for 10:00 A.M. Friday morning at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by the Reverend John Welch, assisted by the Reverend C.C. Gober. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born July 19, 1889 in Caldwell, KS, she married J.C. Stoneberger May 18, 1909 at Wichita, KS. The family came to Altus from Lindsborg, KS in 1940 when Mr. Stoneberger became associated with Leger Mills. Mr. Stoneberger died in 1947.

Mrs. Stoneberger was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was an accomplished pianist, and taught piano for many years. The last two years, because of poor health, she was a resident of Park Lane Nursing Home.

Survivors include: one son, James Mark Stoneberger of Albuquerque, NM; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Dickson Myers of El Paso, TX and Miss Norma Bernyce Stoneberger of the home in Altus; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
