Obituary for Gene Alton Bynum
Funeral Services have been set for Gene Alton Bynum, age 69, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 1987 at the First Baptist Church of Eldorado, Oklahoma with Rev. Kenneth Coleman officiating and Rev. Keith Hart assisting. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Gene Bynum was born August 10th, 1918 in Eldorado, Oklahoma, the son of Monroe and Daisy Bynum. He lived and worked in Eldorado all his life, farming for 15 years and he worked for the City of Eldorado for 14 years and also had a radiator shop. He retired in 1984 due to poor health.
He married Izetta Harrell on November 22, 1941 at Eldorado.
Survivors include: his wife, Izetta Bynum of the home; one son, Alton Bynum of Lubbock, TX; one daughter, Janet Atkins of Tuscon, AZ; one brother, William (Ted) Bynum of Eldorado; two sisters, Mae Slayton of Fritch, TX and Renie Chapman of Floydada, TX; three grandchildren, Jamie and Jason Bynum of Lubbock, TX and Danielle Atkins of Tuscon, AZ; two brothers, Olen and Frank Bynum preceded him in death; several nieces and nephews.
