Gearld Dwain Gates, a longtime resident of Granite, Oklahoma passed away on February 16, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 17, 1933, in Altus, Oklahoma, to George L. and Rosey Irene (Garrison) Gates and raised in Greer, Oklahoma.
He was the director of maintenance at Oklahoma Reformatory in Granite, Oklahoma. Upon his retirement, he worked as an electrician serving the people of Greer County.
He was preceded in death by his parents George L. and Rosey Irene (Garrison) Gates, his beloved wife Norma Gates.
Left to honor his memory his Children, Allan Gates and wife Pat, Julie Carney and husband Jim; many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Services have been entrusted to Greer Funeral Home, Granite, Oklahoma.
