Obituary for Gary Kent Cross
Gary Kent Cross, 74, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on April 27, 2022, at his home in Buckeye.
Gary was born in Altus, Oklahoma on August 26, 1947. He married Sharon in 1987 and to that union they were blessed with a daughter, Britney, and one granddaughter, Adeline. He retired from Nevada Power in 2000. He spent most of his remaining years tending to his horses in Pahrump, NV, and Mapleton, IL.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Eugene Dismore and Mary Wanda Cross; and his step-father, Donald Ray Cross.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Britney, and son-in-law, Eric; his granddaughter, Adeline; Also surviving Gary are three sons: Kent (Gina), Ted and Wayne; nine grandchildren: Kent Jr., Kayla, Cody, Jasmine, Emily, Stephanie, Savannah, and Scarlet; Three great-grandchildren: Aiden, Cadence, and Georgia; his two brothers: Doug, Brandon, Cameron and families; and Lionel; Amber, Stephanie, Don, Lindsey, McKenzie Moreau; Greg, Ronna, Nathan, Taylor, Kaylee, Kasey, Jay, Myna, Tanner, Katie, Sterling, Brooks Cross and many other friends and loved ones.
Moving to so many different states left Gary with deep regret that he missed so much family time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express its thanks to Hospice of the Valley Phoenix.
the family will host an 11:00 am inurnment service at the Centennial Chapel located on the grounds of the Altus City Cemetery, on June 15, 2022, with Min. Kevin Baker officiating.
