Obituary for Gary Don Harris
Former Altus resident, Gary Don Harris age 44 of Oklahoma City was born July 7, 1952, in Wichita falls, Texas, the son of Nathaniel Leon and Dorothy Marie (Aronhalt) Harris, Jr. Gary graduated from Altus High School, graduating with the Class of 1970. He served in the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged in 1980; later he attended Altus Junior College. Gary passed away Friday, June 6, 1997, at his residence after a brief illness. Grave side services will be a t 1:00pm Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in the Navajo Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Burial will follow with Full Military Honors, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. On October 8, 1993, he and Paula Carroll were united in marriage at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. survivors include his wife Paula Harris of the home, stepchildren Melissa Nunn and husband, Robert of Springfield, Mo., Denna Crumrine and husband Edward of Springfield, Mo. brothers Kevin Wayne of Minnesota, Harlan Harold Harris of New Orleans, La., sisters, Dee Loyce Guthrie of Altus, Oklahoma, Sarah Beth Snipes of Altus, Oklahoma; one step-grandchild, Kristen Nicole Nunn, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and numerous friends as well as one great-niece and one great-nephew.

Preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
