Garett "Gary" Wayne Paugh, lifelong resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away July 28, 2019 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma.
Gary was born at Altus Air Force Base on December 2, 1963 to his parents Rex and Mary (Calvert) Paugh. Gary was a lifelong resident of Altus, Oklahoma and was a proud graduate from Altus High School. He was owner and operator of Hot Rods by Paugh and spent his whole life sharing his artistic talents on custom pickups, cars and motorcycles. Gary was a professional “picker†and he loved restoring old gas pumps, coke boxes and signs. He spent most days at his shop doing what he loved and enjoying the friends that stopped by. He was always collecting gas pumps and signs. Back road picking and spending time with his family were always time well spent for Gary. He was a mainstay at the local famous yearly PMS Minibike races, and even sponsored them each year. He spent most of his younger years driving the 02 car at various local race tracks. Gary was a great friend to all, a devoted father and papa. He wanted to make sure everyone felt like a someone. He always went out of his way to make others smile and will be missed very much.
