Obituary for Fredna Margaret Hash
Fredna Margaret Hash, age 83, longtime resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away Monday September 21, 2020 at the Colonial Manor II Nursing Home in Hollis.
Fredna was born October 18, 1936 on a farm near Hollis, Oklahoma to Fred Meek and Pauline "Kitty" Davidson Meek. Fredna was the oldest of three children. Her siblings were brother Leon and sister Jo Ella.
Fredna grew up in Harmon county, attended Antioch Baptist Church and graduated from Arnett School in 1956. Shortly afterwards she moved to Oklahoma City where she met the love of her life, Dennis Hash. They were married in June 1967. They spent the next six years in Oklahoma City. In 1973 they moved to Miami, Oklahoma, where they lived until Dennis’ death in May 2005, at that time Fredna move back to Hollis to be close to her family.
Fredna was a homemaker. She enjoyed needle work, painting ceramics, visiting family and friends, gospel music and, attending church. Even with her health problems she was very faithful with her church attendance. She loved and was loved by her church family.
Fredna was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hash, her parents Fred and Pauline "Kitty" Meek and her brother Leon Meek.
Fredna is survived by her sister, Jo Ella Meek, sister-in-law Karren Meek, nephew Kacey Meek of Midland, Texas, niece Jetta Earls and husband Tommy of Elk City, Oklahoma, seven great nieces and nephews, three great nieces by marriage, and fourteen great, great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will take place at 10:00 am Saturday, September 26th at Fairmount cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Friday, September 25th, 2020 at the Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
