Obituary for Fred Hankins
Fred Hankins, age 89 passed away June 2, 2001 in the Chillicothe Hospital.
Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, June 9, 2001 at the First Baptist Church in Eldorado with Rev. Ken Coleman of Hastings officiating. Interment will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Mr Hankins will lie in state Friday at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Eldorado.

He was born November 24, 1911 on Mulky Crossing, Oklahoma on the Red River to Oll and Sadie (Goene) Hankins. He lived his entire life around Eldorado. He farmed his father's land until it was paid for, and he then married Ethel (Baker) Crelia. He farmed and ranched until he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldorado. His wife Ethel passed away in 1993. He later married Nova Leonard of Altus.

He is survived by his wife Ethel Nova ; one brother, Tommie Hankins and his wife Billie of Eldorado, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Jewel Hankins of Marietta, Oklahoma; one step-son, Llyndon Crelia and his wife Sally of Wellington, Texas; two step-daughters Belinda Palacios and her husband Freddie of Amarillo, Texas, and Cathy Needham and her husband Kevin of Wellington, Texas; three great grandchildren, Lauren And Matthew Needham of Wellington, Texas, and Gunner Palacios of Amarillo, Texas; two Step Daughters, Gloria Jean Davis and her husband Bob of Channing, Texas, and Judy Kay Reece of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three step grandchildren, Tracy Rece and his wife Britt of Edmond, Oklahoma, Julie Berger and her husband Alan of Lubbock, Texas, and Donna Jean Davis of Canyon, Texas; two step great grandchildren, Brett Berger of Lubbock, texas and Ryan Allen Reece of Edmond, Oklahoma; a host of special nephews and nieces; and a very special friend, Sam Doby of Quanah, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ethel; three brothers, W.T. (Bill) Hankins, Verne Hankins, and Glen Hnkins; one sister, Charolette Fox; a step son, Rayburn Crelia; and a step grandson, Ray Lynn Crelia.
