Obituary for Frankie Lou Salazar
Frankie Lou Salazar
August 2, 1935-September 6, 2019
Our beloved mom, Frankie Lou Salazar, left us to join our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 6, 2019. She was a strong woman yet compassionate, kind, intelligent, passionate, and full of love. Through her example, she raised us to be independent, work hard, love life, and love God. We’re so very thankful for her.
She lived an accomplished life as a daughter, a mom, a sister, a grandmother and great-grandmother, a friend, a scholar and educator, an accomplished artist, a world traveler, multi-lingual and multi-dimensional. She read and studied the Bible throughout. Always a great listener, she provided thoughtful advice on many occasions. She was an inspiration to many.
Our mother is survived by her son and daughter in law Edgar and Magda Salazar, Bakersfield, CA; her daughter and son in law Beatriz and Tommy McDonald, Hollis, OK; her daughter and son in law Andrea and Bryan Brewster, Edmond, OK; and her son Danny Salazar, Denton, TX.
Mom is also survived by her five grandchildren and spouses: Juan Manuel Cota, Guadalajara, MX; Tim and Kellie McDonald, Denver, CO; Tyler and Ashley McDonald, Stillwater, OK; Will and Darla Brewster, Choctaw, OK; Erin and Alex Lange, Edmond, OK.
She is survived by her 10 great-grandchildren, Carter, Kinley, Kelby, Melanie, Karly, Asher, Julia, Hollis, Jocelyn and Jude.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bessie Wilkinson, and her brother Jimmy Wilkinson.
Mom, thank you so much for your life, your direction and your inspiration. We will always love and miss you.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Hollis, OK, 201 East Jones at 1:00 PM. Please join us for a visitation following the service.
