Obituary for Frankie E. Gammill
Frankie E. Gammill, age 105 of Altus and formerly of Mangum, passed away early Thursday morning, February
9, 2006 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Frankie was born on December 20,1900 in Bloomington, Oklahoma to Lehoma and Fannie (McMallin) Paxton.
She married Everett Gammill on July 4, 1937 in Joplin, Missouri and later moved to Mangum after residing in
Holdenville, Oklahoma for a number of years. Frankie was a beauty operator in Mangum for over fifty-one years
and was known and loved by many people.

A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Mangum, Frankie belonged to United Methodist
Women and the Business and Professional Women's Club.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, Velma Daniel, Beatrice Duncan,
Georgia Tullis and Anna Laura Street and one brother, Bernard Paxton. She is survived by several nieces and
nephews including; Carroll and Wanda Paxton, Yvonne Hall Cupp, Candace Hall Pendergost, Gladys Paxton,
Charles and Georgia Lee Paxton, Mardina Paxton, Perry Chapman, Detman and Virginia Duncan, Ronald and
Pansy Tullis, Jane and Malcolm Jackson and Louis and Ophelia Street along with many other relatives and
friends.

Funeral services for Frankie E. Gammill will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Greer
Funeral Home Chapel in Mangum with Rev. John Corbin officiating. Internment will follow at the Jester Cemetery
under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
