Obituary for Frances May Shriver
Frances May Shriver was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 27, 1933, to Frank and Helen Guth. She entered Heaven"s gates on June 5, 2014. Frances was the proud mother of seven children and their spouses: James Gray of Missouri, Mary and John Callison of Fort Worth, Texas, Mickey and Kelly Shriver of Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Shriver of Altus, Oklahoma, Genia and the late Randy Glenn of Altus, Oklahoma, Sherry and David DeRay of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and John and Trisha Shriver of Sayre, Oklahoma. She was also blessed with twenty-one grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, two of whom she has joined in Heaven. She was married to Mickey Shriver, a member of the United States Air Force, and had many adventures living in different areas of the world, such as Africa and Guam. Frances, along with her husband and children, arrived in Altus in the 1970"s and was a part of the community for over thirty years. Frances was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and was a loving and giving friend to all who knew her. She was known for her fashion sense, her sparkling personality and will be missed by all. Frances is preceded in death by her husband Mickey, Grandson Reed and Great Grandson Brendan.

If roses grow in heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me; place them in my mother"s arms and tell her they're from me; Tell her that I love her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile; because remembering her is easy; I do it every day. There's an ache within my heart that will never go......... away.
